How has your dog impacted your life or the lives of others?
Because pint-sized Stanley starts every day with a positive outlook, wiggly bottom, and oodles of energy, he makes me smile from the moment we get out of bed. Despite weighing less than 7 pounds, this toothless Terrier mix is the driver and pacesetter of our morning jogs, and in doing this, Stanley encourages me to take care of myself as the day's first order of business. I take him to work at HSSA with me on most days, and he makes my colleagues smile because he's always so happy to be there with us. When I bring him to visit my parents in their assisted living community, he brings joy and laughter to them and their fellow residents. Stanley helped fill a hole in my heart when my other dog passed away, and from his big, eager eyes to his tiny little feet, Stanley brings happiness to every space he visits.

How did your dog become a part of your family?
I adopted him from the Humane Society of Southern Arizona in 2024, when he was 9 years old. I fostered him first.
