Kai is 2 years old...he is mixed breed...Carolina dog/Nordic dog...107 pounds of pure handsome boy!!

How has your dog impacted your life or the lives of others?
Kai came to us unexpectedly and just as we were preparing to rescue our next dog...We lost our pit-bull mix Lulu at age 16 and it took us quite some time to be "ready" again. Kai is a joyful boy...he loves other dogs and people and is a big silly goofy guy...Kai howls at fire trucks and howls along with my husband when he plays the harmonica...he has added so much fun, energy and beauty to our life..Kai is a good neighbor too! He barks when marauding herds of Javalina move through the neighborhood knocking over garbage cans and eating people's flowers. We did not realize at first that Kai would grow into the big boy he is...we are grateful that he found us since we have the time and energy to devote to his well-being.

How did your dog become a part of your family?
A co-worker of mine found him as a 5 month old puppy abandoned in a shopping cart. She brought him to meet us and he was ours from moment one...
