How has your dog impacted your life or the lives of others?
Cinnamon is a miracle dog- I found her on the side of the road, critically injured five years ago, at dusk on Old Spanish Trail in Vail. I stopped and within 30 seconds two other cars had stopped with me. Thanks to good Samaritans, Speedway Veterinary Hospital, and Pima Animal Care, she survived.
Normally this was a dog that someone would put down as she had both a broken femur and a broken hip on opposite sides of her body.
Two weeks later, we took her as a foster.
The first night she could only drag herself, but she pulled herself across our living room into my husband's lap, twice. She had chosen her person.
Six months later, he took her and adopted her officially.
She has a huge personality. she more hops than walks to get around unfortunately she's also developed diabetes and become partially blind. She takes insulin twice a day.
Despite all this, her attitude is still like a puppy. We are so grateful that Cinnamon came into our lives; she has a pure heart and lights up our home.
She should not be alive- but she is life. This Miracle "Mini" picture says it all.
