Your Real House Pet's QuirksIn case you hadn't noticed, Goose will drop everything (except maybe her frisbee) for a good photo-op...especially if it means getting a chance to show off those big bright pearly whites. When she's not posing for the camera, she can mostly likely be found either fetching her frisbee or sneaking kibble from her brothers' food bowls. While some girls may feel compelled to watch what they eat to keep a trim figure, Goose never sacrifices good grub. Don't worry though, staying true to her breed, she works off all those calories retrieving anything and everything in sight.
Your Real House Pet's Bio/StoryLucy aka Goose is a 6 year old Labrador Retriever. On Christmas Eve of 2009, I saw an ad in the local paper mentioning a family's dog had recently given birth to a litter of Lab puppies that desperately needed to be adopted to loving homes. The family didn't live far away and I thought I would just check it out because I mean, c'mon, who can resist puppies? I did not plan on getting a puppy that night, but the second I saw her, I knew I wasn't leaving without her. At just 6 weeks old, Goose had stolen my heart. It's now 6 years later, and our bond is growing stronger still. Whether we move from state to state, embark on a long road trip, scope out the local PetSmart for new frisbees, or just pile up in the bed to watch endless reruns on Netflix, Goose is always by my side. While Goose is the only Lab puppy I took home that Christmas Eve night, she is not without siblings. While Goose boasts that she is the most mature of the clan, she is a proud big sister to her two chihuahua brothers, Petey and Spencer.
