Enter your favorite photo of your pet(s) to win one of 12 coveted spots in HSSM's 2016 House Pets of South Mississippi calendar! This contest is open to anyone. Your photo entry does not have to be of an HSSM rescue. We love all pets and welcome entries from all pet owners. We encourage you to share your entry and encourage others to vote, vote, vote! Rules: 1) All photos must be uploaded. Sorry, we cannot accept hard copies.
2) Submitted photos must be print-quality, at least 300 dpi. We need this thing to look GOOD!
3) Photos must be landscape format. Yes, that means your selfies should be taken with the phone parallel to the ground. Sorry.
4) People are allowed in submitted photos BUT the pet should be the focal point. This IS about the pets after all.
5) Multiple pets are allowed in submitted photos. But wouldn't it be cool to submit a photo of EACH of your pets individually and have more than one featured in the calendar?
6) Multiple submissions are allowed from the same household. Yes! Enter your cat AND your dog…Just make sure you don't play favorites and everyone gets your votes! ;)
7) The top six (6) vote-getting cats and the top six (6) vote-getting dogs will be featured on their own month in HSSM's 2016 Real House Pets of South Mississippi calendar. Be sure you enter your pet(s) in the correct category!
8) We ask that along with your photo submission, you include:
- Your pet's name
- Your city and state
- Your pet's quirks
- Your pet's bio/story
Contest Donations
It is a $25 donation to enter your pet in HSSM's Real House Pets of South Mississippi photo calendar contest.
You will have the option to "Reserve A Day" for an additional $20 donation. This will reserve a special date (think your birthday, adoption anniversary, pet's birthday, etc.) for your pet to be featured on. Everyone deserves their very own day!
Each vote thereafter will be $1. Each $1 donation counts as a vote for that photo.
Voting Tip: Vote—and vote often! Share with friends and families to get their support and of course, keep an eye on the competition! You don't want to lose your top spot at the last minute!
Contest Timeline
The Real House Pets of South Mississippi photo calendar contest will run June 1, 2015 at 12:00am Central Time through July 15, 2015 at 9:00pm Central Time.
Photos and votes can be submitted throughout the entire contest period.
