Pet's Story
It was my second week participating in shelter skip day. I didn’t have a dog in mind so they chose Lexi for me. I absolutely fell in love with her. That night they posted about the Rescue Effect Campaign. That’s when I decided I wanted to take Lexi out again before Saturday’s event. When I arrived Lexi was being walked by a volunteer…she remembered me and came right up to me making the volunteer follow me inside. She was so excited…that’s when I knew she chose me. That night I when out and got supplies including an engraved name tag…I was committed. The next day for the event I arrived and when we went outside to meet again before making it official she was so full of energy and excitement to see me. She truly chose me and rescued me. A few weeks together, so many more to come!
