A little about me...
Savannah, affectionately known as “Banana” in our home, is the kind of dog who instantly steals your heart and then steals your side of the bed. We adopted her from the Humane Society, and from the very first tail wag, we knew she was something special.

Savannah is incredibly smart. Within days of coming home, she had already figured out our routine and maybe even how to outsmart it. She picks up on commands quickly, understands the subtle difference between playtime and cuddle time, and somehow always knows exactly where the treats are hidden (even if you moved them an hour ago). She’s quick to learn, always curious, and has a way of reading the room like a seasoned therapist in a fur coat.

Play is serious business to Banana. She’s absolutely obsessed with fetch and will chase a ball like it’s her life’s purpose. She could play for hours rain or shine, inside or out and always returns the ball with tail-wagging enthusiasm, ready to go again. Toys are her true love language. Whether it’s squeaky, fluffy, rope, or plush, she’s got a toy for every mood and keeps them all organized (read: piled high) in her toy basket. She’s not shy about digging through them to find her favorite either!

While she may be a ball of playful energy outside, inside she transforms into what we lovingly call an “aggressive cuddler.” If you sit down, she’s in your lap. If you lie down, she’s your weighted blanket. Savannah doesn’t just like to cuddle- she needs to cuddle, preferably pressed up against you with her head tucked under your chin or her paws draped across your chest. She is warm, affectionate, and always in the mood to snuggle, making her the best kind of companion after a long day.

As the youngest member of our dog pack, Savannah brings a fresh burst of energy and fun. She absolutely adores her older dog siblings and looks up to them like any little sister would. Whether they’re wrestling in the yard, napping side by side, or stealing toys from one another (Savannah usually wins), her bond with them is sweet, playful, and full of love. She fits right in and somehow makes the whole crew feel more complete.

Savannah is the total package- smart, playful, loyal, and full of love. She’s the kind of dog that makes you smile just by being in the room. We’re endlessly grateful to the Humane Society for bringing her into our lives, and we couldn’t imagine our home without her.

Whether she’s chasing a ball, hoarding stuffed animals, or burrowing into your arms for a nap, Banana reminds us every day how lucky we are to have found her and how lucky she is to finally be home.
