Husky Haven of Florida Inc. was formed in April 2011 by 2 volunteers of another Siberian Husky rescue who felt the other rescue was not going in the right direction. We are an extremely small group of volunteers that do what we can to help huskies in the State of Florida. No one is paid at Husky Haven of Florida. All monies go back to the dogs. All dogs are fostered in individual homes. So far we have been able to avoid boarding any dogs. We do specialize in Siberian Huskies and Husky mixes. The number of dogs we save is dependent on open foster homes and funding.
All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for any known medical issues prior to adoption. All adopters are thoroughly screened prior to adoption.
We have taken in dogs with cancer, hit by cars, heartworm positive, tick infested, giardia, etc. All of these issues are above and beyond the normal adoption donation so the only way we can continue to help these dogs is through fundraising.
