How many photos can I enter?You can enter as many as you want!
How do I vote for a pet's picture?Votes are $1 each. All votes are tax-deductible. You can vote online, via mail or in-person at Kind Closet/A Pet's Tale. Keep an eye out for entry and voting promotions throughout the contest!
How to vote by mail:Make your check payable to JCAPS. Include a note with the check stating which pet(s) you would like to vote for (pet name & owners name). Please also include your phone number in case we have any questions.

Can I vote for my own pet's picture?Yes, of coarse! We actually encourage you to vote as many times as you and your friends and family want throughout the month! All proceeds from votes will help us provide care for the homeless animals, advertising for the contest, as well as, gifts for our contest winners!
When does voting close?Voting closes at 5:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
How do I know if I won?The 2 winners will be announced via email and on our Facebook page. You can also check the leaderboards throughout the contest to see how well your pet is doing.
Will my pet still be in the calendar if I do not make it into the top 2?Your entry fee ensures your pet gets a spot in the 2025 calendar on a date of your choice, as long as the date is still available. If your dates are already taken, you will be contacted by Alisha Weland.
When will I get my calendar?Your entry fee acts as a pre-order for your 2025 calendar, but you will be expected to pick-up your calendar at Kind Closet, 313 2nd Street, Jackson, MN at the end of 2024 unless special arrangements are made for shipping/delivery. Watch our Facebook page for additional details on when calendars are expected to arrive.
How do I become an Artist for the Calendar? Do you love painting pets? You could become one of our featured artists by contacting Alisha Weland! We have a Facebook group dedicated to our pet artists.
Can I get my pet painted if I don't get into the top 2?Some of the artists involved with this contest do offer commissioned artworks. If this is something you are interested in, please contact Alisha Weland to work out the details.
