Animal’s Story
Lupini was found as a stray in the central valley. He didn’t have a microchip, hadn’t been neutered, and was estimated to be about a year old. Underdog Rescue brought him from a high kill shelter to a foster home in Benicia. We can only guess at what he encountered during his life on the street but after adopting him in May 2025, we’ve showered him with love and attention. He loves to greet every dog and waits patiently for an invitation to play. He’s done really well in his Joybound training and agility classes and we’re so proud of him. His DNA test says he’s a Pomeranian/Shih Tzu and Pitbull mix. Long, scruffy hair from his mom and 40 pound Pitbull body from his dad. Completely unexpected and wonderful! He’s brought immense joy to our home and we think he’s the cutest dog on the planet.
