Welcome to the 2026 Paw-parazzi Pet Photo Contest benefitting Joybound People & Pets. This tail-wagging, whisker-worthy fundraiser celebrates adorable dogs and cats while raising vital funds.

Why Participate?
Our goal, with your help, is to raise $35,000! You can help simply by sharing your pet’s cutest photo and encouraging your family and friends to vote. Every photo shared and every vote cast helps provide:

Medical care for pets in need
Pet food for our food pantries
Pet family support services
Life-changing human-animal bond programs

How the Contest Works — Calendar Stars!
Your dog or cat could be a star featured in Joybound’s 2027 Pet Calendar! Submit your favorite pet photo and collect votes through donations. The top 10 vote-earning pets (5 dogs and 5 cats) will earn a featured month in the calendar.

Every photo entrant will automatically receive one copy of Joybound's aww-worthy 2027 calendar later this year, featuring our 12 winners. If you participated in the contest by voting, don't miss out on seeing these adorable animal photos throughout 2027 and preorder your calendar now!

Round 1: Fundraising and Vote Collection

(February 16, 2026 – March 20, 2026)
Votes are earned through donations supporting Joybound. The top 5 vote-earning entries in each category (dog and cat), that meet image requirements, automatically earn calendar features.

Each $5 donation counts as 5 votes. You can place all votes on one entry or divide them among multiple entries.

All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed online.
All donations (votes) are non-refundable.

Meet Our Next Board of Fur-rectors
Of the top 10 vote-earning pets, the highest vote-earning dog and highest vote-earning cat will receive Joybound's most prestigious honor title: Honorary Board of Fur-rector. The winning pets will:

Receive a custom portrait to be hung at Joybound for one year.
Receive a poster copy of the portrait.
Be listed on Joybound's website alongside the human members of our Board of Directors.

My Pet Didn't Make the Cut? No Worries — There's Still a Chance to Be Featured
The remaining two featured months of the calendar will be decided by you! A panel of Joybounders will select additional standout entries that didn’t secure a top 10 vote position. These finalists will be posted online and the community will vote to select one dog and one cat to complete Joybound 2027 Calendar lineup.

Best of all — public voting in this round is FREE and open to everyone.

Round 2: Community Choice Voting

(March 21, 2026 – April 3, 2026)
Public Voting for the Remaining Two Spots
Joybound selects additional finalists and public voting begins with the top dog and top cat selected as Joybound’s calendar stars.

Photo submissions and votes require a minimum tax-deductible donation to support the animals and programs at Joybound People & Pets. Please see our rules for complete participant guidelines and eligibility requirements.

Prizes are not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. Joybound People & Pets may, at its sole discretion, choose to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the offered prize is unavailable.

Rules

Photo Entry Rules

Photos of domestic dogs and cats are allowed (no people or wildlife please).
Votes are earned through donations supporting Joybound. The top 5 vote-earning entries in each category (dog and cat), that meet image requirements, automatically earn calendar features .
- Only winning photos are guaranteed a spot in the 2027 calendar.
- Only two photos per household will be included in the calendar.
Joybound selects additional finalists and public voting begins with the top dog and top cat selected as Joybound’s calendar stars.
The featured animal does not have to be adopted from Joybound People & Pets.
Entries may feature more than one animal.
Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi at 11 inches wide by 8.5 inches high) to be considered for a month spread in the calendar. When printed, photos may look different from digital versions. Please reference Joybound's photography tips for more information.
Photos must be in landscape (horizontal) format to be considered.
Photos must be full color, and not heavily filtered, edited, or altered.
Photos with professional watermarks will not be eligible.
Photos deemed unsafe, indecent, offensive, or obscene will be removed from the contest.
All entries must be submitted by 5:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, March 20, 2026.
All photos submitted become the property of Joybound People & Pets, which may, at its discretion, copy, edit, publish, or modify entries for use in any and all media, without limitation or compensation to the photographer or the individuals and animals appearing in the photo. The submitter of the photos does not relinquish rights to use the photos.
Mail-in submissions cannot be considered for the 2027 calendar.

Donation Vote Rules

To vote online, click on the participate tab above. The online voting period will end at 8:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, March 20, 2026.
- Each $5 donation counts as 5 votes. You can place all votes on one entry or divide them among multiple entries.
Joybound is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please save your donation acknowledgment email for your tax files.

2027 Calendar

One free, printed calendar is included for every photo entry.
Additional calendars can be purchased through the participate tab above. Calendars will be available for purchase until October 31, 2026.
Calendars will be shipped or available for pickup at Joybound by end of November 2026. Purchasers who select the pickup option will be contacted via email with information on when calendars will be available.
