Animal’s Story
Joey is a 15 year old cat who belonged to my good friend Susan. When Susan died I offered to rehome Joey so he wouldn’t go to a shelter. Joey , who was 10 years old when we got him, hid in his hiding place for 14 weeks before he would engage with me. At 13 weeks he let me see him, but it took one more week before I could pet him. I called Joy Bound a few times to make sure I was doing the right thing by letting him hide. He’s still a shy boy with strangers, but happy with us.
