Dress your pets up in their spooky (or cute) Halloween costumes for our first ever Virtual Howl-oween Pet Costume Contest and help support the cats and dogs in the care of the James River Humane Society! This online photo contest is open to all pets (cats, dogs, pigs, goats, mice, horses, etc.). If you have a pet that doesn't like to sit still for pictures, please feel free to dress up and sit with them/hold them! Upload your photo today (one photo per entry, $10 each), then share on your social media and tell your friends and family to vote! ($1 per vote). Voting ends at midnight, November 2^nd.

Established in 1985, the James River Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill shelter set up to care for homeless cats and dogs in our area. It is the policy of our shelter to provide humane care and treatment for animals needing protection in the area served by the shelter, to seek suitable homes for animals without owners, and to alleviate animal suffering.
