On behalf of the Kiwanis Club of Charlotte, and our partners WBT Radio, Tyler2Construction, Queen City Canine and Pilot Brewing, we want to express our most sincere thanks for your generous support and enthusiasm for the
Coolest Dog in Charlotte contest. The competition was robust and the race to the finish line was exhilarating!
The dollars raised through this campaign will be administered by the Charlotte Kiwanis Foundation which will distribute funds to Metrolina organizations whose mission is to help reduce illiteracy in the youth of North and South Carolina.
We have been in contact with the owners of the winning dogs to coordinate prizes and photos. Here is the final standing:

Why is your dog the "Coolest Dog in Charlotte"?
Chip guards my hens and rooster. I have free range chickens and before I got him in June 2022 several of my chickens had been killed by foxes. Not one fox has shown up since last June. The chickens and Chip sleep together under a giant evergreen bush. He is friendly and loves to play with my other 2 dogs. He can run so fast it is unbelievable. He prefers to sleep outside during the night. He is 3/4 Great Pyrenees and part sheepdog from Italy and Bulgaria (Karakachan). That is why he has some black spots on his head.
