About Us

The Kiwanis Club of Columbia, Missouri, is dedicated to making the world better one child at a time. Organized on April 5, 1922, it is one of the oldest service clubs in Mid Missouri and is part of an international organization with more than 600,000 members in 80 countries. In a century of service to the Columbia area, the Kiwanis Club has helped fund dozens of programs that provide for the care, welfare and enrichment of Columbia kids. All fundraising activities of the club go entirely to these child-serving programs, which is why we believe “Kids Need Kiwanis.”

Rules

The Columbia Kiwanis Club Pet Photo Contest will start at 7:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Friday, September 1, 2023 and end at 10:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Entries can be made at any time during the photo contest.
All online photo entries must be submitted by 10:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Photos and/or videos of any non-wild living pet that is a non-human animal – mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, and amphibians are accepted. No Wild Deer, No Wild Birds, No Pet Rocks, No Stuffies, No Pet Insects, e.g., Tarantulas.
The pet must reside in one of the following Missouri counties:
Audrain
Cooper
Boone
Howard
Callaway
Moniteau
Cole
Randolph
All entries and votes must be submitted by the deadlines listed above in order to be included in the final vote count. Beloved pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge may be entered into the photo contest.
The photos should be as large and as high quality as possible.
Photos may contain more than one pet.

Photos must only contain domestic pets.
Photos must be full-color, no heavily filtered, edited or altered photos.
There will be a 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd prize winner. The winners will be determined by the three entrants with the most votes. Please view the Prize section to view the winning prizes for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd winners.
Once photos are entered, you grant Columbia Kiwanis Club the right to use them at its discretion for print and marketing purposes.

Entries:

Entries can only be made online and must be received by 10:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Each entry is a $20 donation.
People are not allowed in photos, only your pet(s). Your photo may contain more than one pet; however, one pet per photo is recommended.
All photos must be uploaded; printed photos will not be accepted. You must be the owner of the image to enter it.
The Submissions Period starts at 7:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Friday, September 1, 2023 and ends at 10:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Contest entry fees are tax-deductible. The email acknowledgment of your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
Photos deemed offensive, indecent or obscene in the Columbia Kiwanis Club’s sole discretion, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund. The Columbia Kiwanis Club has the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason.
Posting more than one photo of your pet does not increase the chances of winning.
The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the three entries that receive the most votes (donations). Prizes for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd will have a retail value of $300, $200, and $100 respectively.
The same pet can only win once.
We cannot accept photos with digital overlays, photo stickers, doodles or any digital effects.
Photos that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win with no opportunity for a refund.

Voting:

Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery and open to voting by the general public. To vote online, click on the Participate tab above.
Each vote costs $1, and there is no limit to the number of votes one may cast for the duration of the contest. You can place all votes on one entry or divide them among multiple entries.
All donations from voting are non-refundable.
Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
Contest votes are tax-deductible. The email acknowledgment of your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
You may vote for your own photo.
All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contests, whose decisions are final and binding.
Online voting begins as soon as the photo is registered and end 10:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Fine Print:

By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials.
If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Columbia Kiwanis Club and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
