Zionsville / Whitestown Coolest Pet

Did you know that your pet is cool? So cool it can ...

 Artist's pallette
Nurture young artists.
Sad golden receiver puppy
Rescue homeless pets.
 Mortar board
Fund scholarships.
Youth's feet shackled with "Mental Illness" ball.
Address mental health issues among teens.
 Glass of beer
And maybe even get a beer named after it!
What Are We Doing?
A fun online fundraiser to benefit children, pets and our community

Since 2021, our "coolest" contests have raised funds that have allowed us to put almost $60,000 into our community. This year, we're back with more ways to win... and there's more causes to support! This year, we've opened the contest to almost ALL cool pets! (Animals that require Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ wild animal permits are excluded.)

Why Are We Doing This?
Because children ... and pets ... need our help
We are raising funds for a number of worthy causes, including:

  • The Zionsville Boys & Girls Club needs to update their computer equipment.
  • The Whitestown Boys & Girls Club’s wish list includes new furniture for their learning areas.
  • The Boone County Humane Society would like to build an outdoor play area for its animals.
  • With Kiwanis’ help, Riley’s Children’s Hospital is addressing the alarming rates of youth suicide, depression, anxiety and other mental health conditions.
  • The Zionsville Cultural District has relied upon Kiwanis' support of its Lincoln Park Concerts.
  • The Kiwanis-sponsored Zionsville Community High School Key Club provides more than 300 youth with service leadership experiences.

It is well known that Zionsville's schools excel in academics, music, athletics and performing arts, but local students also impact our community, state and world through service leadership. This past year, for example, the 300-member-strong Key Club collected enough toothbrushes, soaps, shampoos and other hygiene items to assemble 400 hygiene kits for families whose lives are impacted by incarcerations.

During the 2025-25 school year, you'll see the students serving at the Kiwanis/Key Club “haunted tunnel” during the Boone Village Halloween celebration.

Deviate Brewing - Craft Beer
At Deviate Brewing, deviating from the norm is the guiding mantra that we apply to our brewery design, approach and how we create our recipes. Often craft beer is held and judged by standard guidelines, where every aspect is defined and often confined by long standing definitions. And although we can respect the talent to brew a well-made beer done to style, we believe that craft beer should be fun and push the envelope of what is traditional. Working from the fundamental foundation of a high-quality base beer, one free from defects and off flavors, we like to have fun and deviate to stretch and excite your palate.
