Welcome to the Krewe of PAWS Royal Court Contest! Our 19th Annual Krewe of PAWS Mardi Gras Pet Parade is right around the corner! The parade will roll through Antique Alley on 2/7/26. What would a Mardi Gras parade be without a King, Queen and their Court?! Here is your pet's chance to be in the spotlight on this festive day! This fundraiser is a fun way for your pet to win a spot on the Krewe of PAWS Royal Court while helping us raise funds for our programs.
Our King & Queen will walk at the front of the parade. Your pet will have his or her name on a sign noting their King/Queen designation. Our Dukes & Duchesses will walk at the front of the parade behind the King & Queen with signs as well.

**PLEASE NOTE...IF YOUR PET WINS A SPOT ON THE ROYAL COURT, YOU MUST THEN REGISTER YOUR PET FOR THE PARADE (at www.pawsnela.org/mardi-gras.php)
Entry into the contest is $20.00 per pet! When you enter your photo, you will have the chance to say a few words about your pet(s). Then invite your friends and family to vote for your photo! Votes are $1 each. A minimum vote donation of $5 is required.
Our photo contest is open to all types of pets (except horses, ponies or livestock) however, there should be NO HUMANS in the photos. The contest and voting both begin on 1/23/26. Once our deadline of 2/1/26 arrives, each Pet will be entered into the Royal Court Drawing based on the amount of donations earned by each pet. For example, if your pet has earned $100 in donation votes then your pet will be entered into Royal Court drawing 100 times. The more votes your pet receives, the greater a chance they have of their name being drawn. The first male pet name drawn will be crowned King. The first female pet drawn will be crowned Queen. The next two male pets drawn will be named Dukes. The next two female pets drawn will be named Duchesses.
Winners will be contacted via email with further instructions. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU USE AN EMAIL ADDRESS THAT YOU CHECK FREQUENTLY WHEN ENTERING THE CONTEST.
SUBMIT YOUR PHOTO ENTRY HERE!All proceeds will benefit the programs of PAWS which include Animal Shelter Rescue, Spay/Neuter Assistance, Pet Therapy, Tag Your Pet, as well as education and outreach. PAWS is a 501(c)3 organization, making all donations towards voting in the contest tax deductible. You can vote as often as you like!
For the best chance to win, be sure to spread the word about your pet's entry into the contest. Ask family and friends to go online and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE! You can use the sharing buttons that appear on your pet's photo page to share your photo entry with your Facebook friends and Twitter followers. And you can email links to family and friends to encourage voting for your pet's photo.

Krewe of PAWS Royal Court Contest Rules
- Entry into the contest is $20.00 per pet. You can enter as many pets as you like but keep in mind that splitting votes amongst your pets may lessen their individual chances of winning.
- Starting date for entering photos and voting is 1/23/26 at 8am (CST). Ending date for entering photos and voting is 2/1/246 at 8pm (CST). The later you enter your pet however, the less time they have to get votes.
- Votes are $1. There is a minimum vote donation of $5.
- PAWS of NE Louisiana is a 501(c)3 organization. Donation votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
- The contest is open to all types of pets (except horses, ponies or livestock). Photos should include your pet only, NO humans allowed. The photo must show ONLY the pet that you are entering into the Royal Court contest (no group photos of multiple pets). Be sure your photo is clear and focused.
- Photos must be submitted online, no mail-in entries are accepted.

Our Mission
To reduce and aid the population of unwanted and lost companion animals in our community and to support and encourage the positive interaction between pets and people.
PAWS is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in May 2003 to help the communities in the Northeast Louisiana area. We have created several programs to help accomplish our mission which include our Shelter Animal Rescue, Humane Education, Spay/Neuter Assistance Program, Tag Your Pet Program and our Pet Therapy Program.
