About Us

We are the newly-formed women's club affiliate to the Union County Mudturtle Rugby Club.

Union County Lady Mudturtles was created in 2014 as the sister club to the Union County Mudturtles, prominent on the New Jersey rugby scene since 1974. Until recently, there were only two adult women's rugby clubs in the entire state of New Jersey, leaving former college and high school players the choice to travel to play or to give up the game.

As a member of the Union County Rugby Football Club, the Lady Mudturtles are committed to providing an opportunity to play for all interested club members, ranging from experienced ruggers to those brand new to rugby. We seek to offer a competitive and social outlet for women in Union County while serving as the natural progression in growing the game through the Mudturtles youth and High School girl's programs

All experience levels welcomed and encouraged to give rugby a try!
