The 12 most popular pet photos will each be featured as a "Pet of the Month", and the photo with the most votes will also grace the cover.

In addition, we have a special spot reserved for the first and second runners-up. All 12 winners and both runners-up will receive a free calendar.

All photos entered with 5 or more votes will be featured SOMEWHERE in the calendar! Every pet is a star! Don't forget to start the voting for your pet's photo - what a great opportunity to show off your best friend while supporting the homeless dogs, puppies, cats & kittens in our care!

About Us

Founded in 2022, LaMa Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency. We are a community volunteer, foster based rescue group advocating for the many homeless, neglected, and abused pets of Northwest Louisiana. We strongly focus on educating the public on general pet health, spay and neuter & vaccination. We provide vetting, foster care housing and then transportation mainly to New England area rescue partners where the animals are able to be placed in their forever homes.

LaMa Animal Rescue opened Webster Parish’s first and only no-kill physical shelter in March 2025. The rescue has 40 adult dog kennel runs, an area for nursing mothers and puppies, and a surgery room (which is still in the works - awaiting funding). We employ two full-time and two part-time kennel workers. Our recent volunteer campaigns have been very successful, and we now have several regular volunteers who help with extra enrichment and special projects.

There are several play yards on the premises that offer our dogs enrichments and outdoor playtime with their friends, including a fully-fenced in area around our beautiful pond.

Rules

Submit your pet's photo for FREE and vote until 6:00 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Votes are $1 and you must purchase a minimum of 5 votes at a time.
Photos may contain more than one pet, but no humans please!
Please, no text on pre-imposed images (hats etc) on submissions and no AI.
Entries must be submitted by the owner of the pet, or with permission of the owner. If the photo was taken by someone other than the owner, permission must be granted from the person who owns the photo. It is the responsibility of the person submitting the photo to make sure that permissions are in place.
To enter the contest, you must register using your personal email address and a password of your choice.
Each $1 donation counts as a vote for that photo and donations are non-refundable.
We will have a vote bank! You will not have to use your credit card each time you vote. Remember that you can use the votes in your bank to vote – any votes left in the bank will go to the shelter.
MC/VISA/Discover are accepted via a secure server. If you would rather pay by check, please earmark the check for the LaMa Animal Rescue 2026 Calendar Contest and contact the contest administrator at lamaanimalrescue@gmail.com for mailing instructions. Checks must be received on, or prior to, October 25, 2025.
If we fundraise $5000 or over we will print an 8.5x11 calendar. If it us under the $5000 LaMa Animal Rescue reserves the right to print a smaller calendar size.
All entries are subject to review, editing, and removal by LaMa Animal Rescue & Support Services.

To ensure that we are able to use your photo for publication, please make sure that you submit a digital photo only with a file size of 2 MB or higher. (Regular photos developed from film and scanned generally will not result in a high enough quality to print and include in the calendar).
If you are one of the top 12 winners, and the photo you submitted is of poor quality (it will not reproduce well in the calendar) and cannot be sufficiently improved for publication, we will alert you and give you an opportunity to send in a replacement photo of the same pet(s).
File sizes are automatically reduced when submitted to the live voting site. At the end of the contest, the original photos of the winning entries must be submitted to lamaanimalrescue@gmail.com within 7 days of the contest's end for them to be able to be included in the calendar.
When registering/buying votes you agree to receive emails from LaMa Animal Rescue & Support Services for contest publicity purposes.
LaMa Animal Rescue & Support Services is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
