Contestant Entry Information
Photos should include one or more animals. Photos with humans are accepted on the basis that you are responsible for any legal action on behalf of any parties represented in your submission and that you indemnify LOH and hold them harmless from and against any claims of any nature arising in connection with the Contest. You may enter as many photos as you wish.
How to Enter
There is no cost to enter the contest. You may submit more than one dog in the contest. Winners are determined by the dog the gets the highest number of votes in each category (Ugliest and Cutest). Votes cost $1.00 each. See “Voter Information” for more details.
Online: This method of entry will be available by visiting our website (www.gogophotocontest.com/LOH) and following the directions provided to fill out the entry information, and submit. Photos should be in JPEG, JPG, PNG or GIF format, although JPEG/JPG is the preferred form. Photo size should be at least 270 pixels x 180 pixels in order to minimize photo distortion when viewed online. All submitted photos are subject to review by LOH for inappropriate/offensive content. Inappropriate entries will not be permitted and any donations related to those submissions will not be refunded.
Contest Period
Photos will be accepted for the Lost Our Home (LOH) contest website from October 29, 2013 12:00:00 AM (MST) through November 7, 2013 at 5:00 PM (MST) for public viewing. Votes will be accepted for the LOH contest website for the same time period.
Voter Information
- Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote. There is a 5 vote minimum which equals a $5 donation.
- When you donate to vote, you will receive a "bank” of votes that then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry or place them on multiple entries.
- We encourage you to e-mail the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your favorite contestant's photo.
- All donations are non-refundable and not tax deductible (there was a vote in exchange for the donation. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Donations and photo entries for this online contest that are submitted via other means (snail mail, in-person or main website donation page) will be accepted as donations but not applied toward the contest. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
Winner Notification
The winners will be notified by email or phone Thursday Nov 7th after 5 pm or Friday Nov 8th.

Winners are highly encouraged to go with their winning dog to Christown Spectrum Mall on Nov 9th at 2:00 pm to claim their prize and show off their dog at our rescue fair.
Winners are ultimately responsible for collecting their prizes from donors. LOH will assist by providing contact information for each donor. In some cases, winners will be responsible for paying shipping for their prizes
The selection process will be determined by electronic tabulations under the supervision of Gogo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
Eligibility
Ugliest and Cutest Dog Contest (the Contest) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least thirteen (18) years old at the time of entry. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
General Conditions
All submitted photos and information become the property of LOH to be used at their discretion for any and all marketing purposes without any additional compensation. By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. LOH reserves the right to disqualify at any time any photo it determines to be unsuitable. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you. You agree to indemnify LOH and hold them harmless from and against any claims of any nature arising in connection with the Contest. Entrants grant LOH all rights of ownership, reproduction and royalty-free indiscriminate use of entries and photographs for any purpose. By submitting a photo to the LOH Contest the artist agrees to give and grant to LOH, its employees, nominees, agents, successors and assigns, unlimited authorization, consent and permission to publish and use, any and all information about the pet and any and all reproductions of pet's likeness (photographic or otherwise), and with or without the use or disclosure of owner's name. LOH and the contest sponsors are not responsible for any technical problems or for late, lost, incomplete, stolen or misdirected entries. In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem, or in the event the Contest is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the Contest and, in the event of termination, award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorneys fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Release and Limitations of Liability
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Lost Our Home Pet Foundation and the contest Sponsors, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the Contest, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the Contest, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d)application downloads, (e) any other errors or problems in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the Contest, the announcement of the winner, the cancellation or postponement of the event and/or the flyover, if applicable, the incorrect downloading of the application the processing of entries application downloadsor in any Contest-related materials; or (f) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the Contest or acceptance, receipt or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Contest, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorneys fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
Disputes
Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Kansas. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Kansas, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Kansas.
Privacy
Information collected from entrants is subject to sponsors privacy policy.
Agreement to Official Rules
Participation in the Contest constitutes entrants full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein. In accepting any prize, the winner acknowledges that the LOH may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using prize(s).
