Groot came into our lives at the most critical time. He spent a long time at the humane society and had a sad story like so many of there. When I adopted him, he was skin and bones. A very sensitive and cautious dog, he was slow to warm up but is now the most loyal, disciplined creature I have ever met. We needed to spend a lot of time together for him to build trust in humans again and now, he is a loving and happy dog. He wags his tail now. Everytime he looks at me with his quiet puppy eyes, I immediately feel his gratitude. It brings me great peace to feel it. He is mine and I am his. I’m so grateful to be his dog mom.
