With a friendly personality, long body, and signature big ears, we quickly fell in love with Kaipo! At seven years old, he’s grown into a capable and confident poi dog who is always ready to follow his parents on their next adventure. He loves to hike Oahuʻs trails, sprint alongside us while mountain biking, or accompany us on a trip around the islands or the mainland- he has even gone snow tubing in Alaska! He is also happy to chill at the house, chase flies or go to the park, where he is quick to make new friends with dogs (and their owners, who may be passing out treats). Kaipo has also shown us that you can teach and old dog new tricks, as we have started training him as a scent dog! He never ceases to surprise us and fill our lives with cuddles and laughter!
