Contest Entry

To submit your pet's photo, a minimum $60 donation is required. HHS Staff and Volunteer pricing is $50, please inquire at ssears@hawaiianhumane.org for the discount code.
- All entries will be awarded 60 votes along with their entry fee.
Entries must be submitted online. Each pet may only be entered once. Participants may submit entries for multiple different pets. Entry photos may only contain one pet.
Once entered, all photos become the property of the Hawaiian Humane Society and can be used, edited, or modified for print or marketing purposes.
Any photo or caption deemed inappropriate as determined by HHS Staff will be removed from the photo contest.
Your pet must have been adopted from the Hawaiian Humane Society to be eligible to enter this contest. Pets who have passed may also be entered in memoriam with their own, hi-resolution photo.
It is the responsibility of the entrant to confirm eligibility prior to entry.

Photo Requirements

Photos should be clear, focused, and high quality. Accepted file formats include .jpg and .png. We are unable to accept images that include digital overlays, stickers, doodles, or other digital effects.
Photos must feature pets only. Images that include people will require a new submission or may be disqualified.
- Each photo should contain only one pet. If a winning photo includes multiple animals, the entrant will be asked to choose one pet to be featured on the outreach van.
- If the photo includes a pet not owned by the person submitting it, written permission from the pet owner is required for use in the contest.

Contest Voting

Each entry is $60. Staff and Volunteer pricing is $50.
Every $1 donation counts as one vote (minimum of five votes, or $5).
- Due to processing costs, a minimum $5 donation is required.
Votes are unlimited.
All donations from voting and entries are non-refundable.
Voting can be done online or by calling 808-356-2249. Votes over the phone must be received by 5pm on Friday, February 27, 2026. After 5pm on February 27, only online voting will be allowed.
- Voting in person at our shelter will not be allowed
