Grommet was found abandoned in a property that was under renovation with 3 other dogs. All of them were emaciated- their hips, ribs, spine visible and their heads sunken in. Grommet and another dog were in critical condition still, but tragically, a third dog was too far gone to be saved.

LOVEPAWS took a chance on Grommet the day after Christmas and we did not hesitate to give him a safe place to land. We fell in love as we cared for this sweet boy. Four days later, things took a shift.. No tail wags. Drooling and lethargic. Didn’t want his second meal. We sat and I worried. We rushed to action -- his bloodwork wasn’t good and he was rushed to the ER.

Life has been so hard for him and I told him he has one last battle… but his little body couldn’t do it. Grommet, if love could keep you here. You would live forever… 💔🌈

We were blessed to love him for 4 days…. He got 4 days of love… and he had a whole army rooting for him… . 🌈

LOVEPAWS took a chance on “Grommie” and gave him a home with love… and didn’t give up until he did. Decisions were made with care and love…. The way they should be.
