Woofs & Whiskers Calendar Photo Contest

• Receive a 1-hour photo-shoot for the pet(s) featured in the winning photo with professional photographer, Cassidy Crisp of Crisp Clicks, unlimited access to all digital prints from this session, photo placement of the pet on the cover of the LPCHS 2027 calendar
• photo placement in the month of their choice
• two calendars on or after December 1st, 2026

• receive placement in the 2027 LPCHS calendar in the month assigned by LPCHS staff
• 1 calendar each on or after December 1st

Winners will be notified no later than 5 days after the contest has closed.

The Woofs & Whiskers Calendar Photo Contest (the "Contest") is open to all legal U.S. residents who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

To enter, visit http://gogophotocontest.com/lpchumanesociety, follow the prompts, and upload a photo of your pet(s) along with a description (up to 200 words). Online entries will be accepted from August 1, through August 31.

All entries become the property of La Plata County Humane Society (LPCHS) and will not be acknowledged or returned.

• File types accepted: JPEG, JPG, or PNG
• Minimum resolution: 2550 x 3300 pixels preferred (photos under 2000 x 1500 pixels will not be accepted)
• Photo quality: Must be in focus, well-lit, and high-resolution
• Editing limitations: Only minor adjustments to color, contrast, or sharpness are allowed. No heavy filtering or “photoshopping.”
• Prohibited: Watermarks, text, borders, clip art, or copyrighted imagery
• Content: No humans in photos. All photos must feature pets owned by the entrant.
• Photo credit: Include the name of the photographer and any individuals featured. If the photo was taken by a minor, a legal guardian must submit.

Entrants may submit multiple different pets, but duplicate entries of the same pet will not be accepted.

• Voting opens at August 1st and closes at August 31st
• Votes cost $1 each, with a minimum of 5 votes per transaction.
• Votes can be placed on a single entry or split among multiple entries.
• All votes are donations to LPCHS and are non-refundable.

• The photo with the most votes as of 8:00 PM MST on August 31, 2026 will:
• Receive a 1-hour professional photo session with Cassidy Crisp of Crisp Clicks
• Receive unlimited digital access to 20 + session photos
• Be featured on the cover of the 2027 LPCHS Calendar
• Choose which month their pet is featured inside the calendar
• The next 10 entries with the highest vote counts will be featured in the 2027 LPCHS Calendar in a month assigned by LPCHS. Each winner will receive one complimentary calendar, provided by LPCHS, no earlier than December 1st, 2026.

By entering the Contest, you grant LPCHS, its legal representatives, successors, and assigns the non-exclusive right to use, modify, reproduce, and distribute your photo in connection with LPCHS promotional and fundraising efforts, including printed or digital materials for the Woofs & Whiskers Calendar. LPCHS will never sell or transfer your photo for use outside of LPCHS calendar or promotional purposes.

LPCHS is not responsible for any printing, typographical, technical, or human errors in the administration of this Contest. Entries that are incomplete, corrupted, or misdirected will not be accepted. If the Contest is disrupted or compromised by technical failures, fraud, or other unforeseen events, LPCHS reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest and award prizes based on valid entries received before the disruption.

By participating, entrants agree that the Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
