Meeka the magnificent. Meeka is an Alumni of the La Plata County Humane Society after being thrown away on CR 250 and rescued by the Animal Control officer. She had been badly abused, mostly through neglect, but with good food, good exercise and patience she became a wonderful companion. She completely lacks aggression ( a good thing with a German Shepard Dog). She will ignore a squirrel running right under her nose. We didn't exactly train her. It was more like she had wonderful manners and figured things out on her own. Being with her was like traveling with a Super Model
