A little about me...
These two have come a long way. Dolly, the French Bulldog mix, is a June 2024 LHS alum, and Patches, the Aussie Doodle, is a July 2023 rescue from the Floyd County Humane Society. Both rescues had a hard start to life and because of it, they weren't sure what to make of this big world and the people in it. But once they were brought together to form their own sisterhood, that began to change. Patches took charge and decided she would show Dolly how to be brave, even if she wasn't quite brave herself. And Dolly was like a sponge, watching everything Patches did, copying only the best behaviors. Patches wouldn't be where she is today without the training classes at LHS and Dolly is just getting her feet wet with the basic manners class. Patches' best skill is come, which is astonishing since in the beginning if you tried to get her to touch, she would run the other way. Dolly's best skill, at least at this point, is go to mat. They are a joy and the best part is seeing them gain confidence and learn how to tackle life's challenges together.
