Cassie was adopted from the Animal Protective Association of Missouri. She came to the APA from a breeder rescue organization. When we adopted her in June, she was frightened and constantly looking for a way to escape our home. She did manage to escape three times. The last time she spent the night alone in a nature area. The next day we found her. She had a swollen nose and a sore leg, but no serious injuries. Since that time, she has finally accepted us, wagging her tail when we say her name and giving lots of kisses.
