Share your pet’s personality and charisma with the world! Submit your pet’s photo to the Maui Humane Society 2023 Pet Photo Contest and get the most votes to win a featured spot in the 2024 MHS Pet Calendar! Each vote is only $1 (required minimum of 5 votes) and 100% of the proceeds will be used to help shelter animals at the Maui Humane Society.
This year we want to see your pet represent their "Aloha Spirit" and show off every possible reason we're Lucky We Live Hawaii! It's time to get out the lei's, aloha shirts, slippahs , surfboards and shades and strut that stuff on our beautiful beaches, hang paw on some waves, or explore our gorgeous rainforests. Whatever makes your pet happy AND shows off our island home - we want to see it! This is your pet’s chance to shine!
All entrants will receive a 50% off calendar price coupon after the conclusion of the contest, which can be applied to the purchase of 1 calendar. All sales of calendars will be available starting in November 2023. Be sure to share with your friends and family and encourage them to vote for your photo!
If using a mobile device to capture your pet, please take it HORIZONTALLY.
We can only use horizontal photos in our calendars for best resolution! Vertical or square submissions will NOT be considered for feature spots in the calendar.
Prizes
The top 12 photos with the most votes will be named “People’s Choice” winners and each will be featured as a Pet of the Month in the Maui Humane Society's 2024 12-month Pet calendar.
The runners up who have submitted their entries by the deadline and meeting the photographic requirements will be featured in smaller locations throughout the calendar.
In FY 2021-2022 our organization cared for 4,919 animals, found homes for 1,853 animals through
adoptions, transferred 601 animals to “adoption guaranteed” rescues and shelters, saw 2,455 animals
fostered by 498 foster families and reunited 924 families with their lost pets. Your support helped us
reach these milestones and it is only with you that we can continue providing animals in need with life-
changing programs and services.

Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.
