Kevin is a rescue. We were handpicked by a family member who over heard our conversation of going to MHS after Christmas to pick out a new dog for our 9 yo son after loosing our previous rescue of 16.5 yrs to old age. After days of her persistence for us to come see this “unwanted pup” that was tied up in a garage on a 6’ cord. She knew he’d be in a loving home that wanted him. Kevin was everything I didn’t want in another dog: breed, color and male, and too soon as it was Nov. our boys fell in love so after a Vet check and introduction to our 20 yo green wing macaw, Wolfgang, Kevin became a Johnsen🥰. Kevin is now 8 yo.
