Share your pet’s personality and charisma with the world! Submit your pet’s photo to the Maui Humane Society 2021 Pet Photo Contest and get the most votes to win a featured spot in the 2022 MHS Pet Calendar! Each vote is only $1 (required minimum of 5 votes) and 100% of the proceeds will be used to help shelter animals at the Maui Humane Society.
This year’s theme is Maui Essentials. Maui essential workers have been a lifeline for us over this past year and we cannot thank them enough! This year, 6 of the calendar spots will highlight essential workers with shelter pets (submitted by MHS). For the remaining 6 months, we want to see YOUR furry family members take a straightforward or unique approach to the word ‘essential’ (i.e. water, sunlight, shelter, etc.), or Maui essentials - must-do, must-see, must-eat!
This is your pet’s chance to shine! Be sure to share with your friends and family and encourage them to vote for your photo!
Prizes
The top 6 photos with the most votes will be named “People’s Choice” winners and each will be featured as a Pet of the Month in the Maui Humane Society's 2022 12-month Pet calendar.
The runners up who have submitted their entries by the deadline and meeting the photographic requirements will be featured in smaller locations throughout the calendar.
In FY2019-2020 alone, our organization cared for 4,186 animals, found homes for 2,077 animals through adoptions, transferred 514 animals to “adoption guaranteed” rescues and shelters and reunited 786 families with their lost pets. Our live release rate for dogs was 97.4% and was 85.4% for cats! Your support helped us reach these milestones and it is only with you that we can continue providing animals in need with life-changing programs and services.

Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.
