Luna was adopted from the Humane Society and was going to be surrendered back to the shelter because the adoptive family's senior cat didn't like her. As fate would have it, I was preparing to adopt a cat and purchased a cat tree on Facebook, and ended up with a cat tree and a tiny black kitten who loves to cuddle, play, and nap.

Po was picked up at a colony at the Kahului Harbor and was a very tiny 3-pound ball of fur when I took him in. He had lots of trouble keeping his food down and kept losing weight, and at one point his situation became very grim. But after months of 5 a.m. feedings, vet visits, and lots and lots of love, he started eating on his own and became the big boy you see today. Po loves to sit on the windowsill and watch birds and enjoys sneaking up on his sister and scaring her. He still wakes up at 5 a.m. for pets and kisses.
