Your Pet's Story or Bio
Ehu (left) came into our lives in 2013 when my husband and daughter were living on Maui for the school year. They stopped at Maui Humane each day one the way home from Seabury Hall to get their doggie fix as our dogs were in Massachusetts with my younger daughter and me. They met Ehu. When she passed away in February, my daughter said to me "I'll never forget the first time I saw her, she was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen." She was, inside and out and we're still trying to adjust to life without our Ehu Girl. We were blessed to have to had 8 years with her (she was six when she came home). On the right is Heidi, a.k.a. Chichi, who came home to us in 2018. Despite caring for all the animals at Maui Humane during Hurricane Lane, those at the shelter worked tirelessly to help us arrange for Heidi's flight to Cape Cod. She and Ehu were inseparable, and I always believed it was because they recognized the aloha spirit of the birth place they shared.
