No more, his wild and uncontrolled self, Houdi, has become a real gem and awesome dog. I am proud and thankful to be his human. As Houdi was dragging me out the door on adaptation day,, one ofthe volunteers said how lucky I was and what a good dog he is.. I wonder if the families that returned him were told the same thing.. It was as if he came from.a different planet. He knew no commands in either English or Hawaiian. As I put him into the large dog crate on the that first night, we looked into each other's eyes and said to each other, We are going to make!
And so we have!
Yes, he is an awesome dog and great companion. His mix is New Foundland, Bulldog, Brittany and Bull Mastif. He can't get enough affection, attention and love from young kids to adults. A swimmer, he is not, but wouldn't drown if fell overboard. He hangs out on the tennis court, loves the dog park and runs s on the beach.
On the leach, he is excellent and at home, doesn't wander from our rural property. I sleep well with him on guard.
