Your Pet's Story or Bio
Gina was a confiscation by the Rescue Association for which I was a volunteer. When a foster was requested, I stepped up. When I got to the orthopedic surgeons office to pick her up, it was love at first sight. I told the President of our rescue group if the original owner could not have her back I wanted to adopt her. When the original owner could not afford the over $6,000 to doctor her back to health I was able to adopt her. She was my second IG. My first was a captivating IG from the association website and she was the reason I started volunteering for the group. My 3rd was one of 65 confiscations from a puppy mill. In reality, all three had me at first sight. I have fostered many IG’s from the rescue group but only 2 were “foster failures”. They were both “fur babies” which were not deemed “perfect” by potential adoptees but they were perfect to me. When I moved to Hana all three, of course, came with me. This picture is of Gina “driving”. She even had her own “Hawaii Driver’s License”! I walked Gina across the “Rainbow Bridge” July, 2022.
