We were in no position to adopt a dog, but I saw a post when scrolling on Facebook about a pit bull on death row. He was going to be put down in less than 12 hours after being given up by his family of 6 years. The headline said, "I would have loved the baby, I don't want to die." We couldn't let him die, so we adopted him and the rest is history! We lived in NYC, Rhode Island, took a cross-country road trip with him and four years later we live on Maui. Smiley has 4 rescued siblings - one dog and three cats. Smiley loves going to the beach, playing at the dog park, riding in the car, and paddle boarding.
