About Us

The Maui Humane Society is Maui's only open-admission animal shelter. We are a non-profit entity that relies on assistance from the community to continue our mission: To protect and save the lives of Maui's animals accepting all in need, educating the community, and inspiring respect and compassion towards all animals. In 2018 alone, our organization found homes for 2,118 animals through adoptions, transferred 825 animals to "adoption guaranteed" rescues and shelters and reunited 1,317 families with their lost pets.
