Get to Know the Pets and Heroes
John is an MHS Humane Enforcement Officer and a former EMT. Growing up surrounded by pets and with years of experience in marine research, he’s passionate about protecting animals, both on land and in the ocean.

Sasha, a 3-year-old Husky, is energetic, sociable, and loves greeting everyone she meets with a wagging tail and a kiss. Sasha’s mom wasn’t looking for another dog after recently losing her rescue Husky Bella to cancer, when a friend saw Sasha being rehomed. It was love at first sight and when Sasha's mom learned they shared the same birthday, she knew it was meant to be.
