Get to Know the Pets and Heroes
Lena, an MHS Humane Enforcement Officer grew up on a Haleakalā dairy ranch and has had every animal you can think of. She is dedicated to being a voice for Maui’s voiceless pets and finds it rewarding to be able to assist her community.

Willy, a 3-month-old puppy from Hana, was rescued as a stray and cared for by MHS’ Veterinary Team. Shy and independent, he loves other dogs and is especially fond of his foster sister cat.

Wonka, a 3-month-old puppy from Hana, was rescued alongside his brother and cared for by MHS’ Veterinary Team. Outgoing and affectionate, he follows his foster mom like a little duckling and adores his foster dog brothers and cats.
