Ian, a firefighter with Rescue Engine 8 on Lāna‘i, has served for 1 year following 3 years as a lifeguard. A lifelong animal lover, he’s been a first responder since age 16 and finds the work rewarding and full of unique moments.

Sabrina, an 8-month-old puppy named after pop icon Sabrina Carpenter, is a pint-sized diva with a big personality. In her time at MHS, she loved hanging out with her pop-sisters Chappell and Billie, showing off new tricks for treats, giving endless licks, and winding down with a treat-stuffed KONG at the end of the day.
