Skyla, a lifeguard at Mākena Beach, has served for 2 years. She shares her life with Wainui, a rescue dog from Moloka‘i, and is passionate about educating the public on water safety and keeping people safe.

Gravy, a 2-month-old kitten, was rescued after being found digging in a garbage can for food. Now thriving in his foster home, he’s growing fast, loves cuddling with his foster brother, and will soon be ready for adoption.
