Get to Know the Pets and Heroes
Slainden, a lifeguard at Kama’ole Beach Park I, has served for 2 years. Inspired by his cousin and idol in ocean safety, he enjoys lending a hand to others and being there when people need help.

Honey Bee, a 2-month-old puppy, was rescued by an MHS Humane Enforcement Officer in the old sugar cane fields, and fostered as a bottle baby with her sister, Buggy. Very brave and eager to learn, she hopped on a plane to be transferred to a partner shelter for adoption through MHS’ lifesaving program, Wings of Aloha.
