Rooterville Animal Sanctuary is a 38 acre farm sanctuary with butterfly gardens and untouched Florida beauty, where over 300 rescued farm animals live. We have "the lucky ones," animals who barely escaped torture, abandonment, and abuse. Though all of our animals have different backgrounds, they all share one message; compassion. Our animals are our ambassadors, whom help us carry the plant-based message along. The more people who eat a plant based diet, the fewer animals there are being raised in factory farms, tortured, and slaughtered for meat. Rooterville has been spreading this message since Elaine, Rooterville's founder, stumbled upon one very special pig, Stella, who ended up being the inspiration for Rooterville. Elaine was so impressed by Stella's emotional and intellectual intelligence, she made it her mission to help the misunderstood animals of the meat industry. Since, Elaine has saved hundreds of animals, whose legacies will always live on.
