The Montgomery Humane Society is proud to announce the twenty sixth annual pet photo contest and fundraiser! With all proceeds raised by the event going to help feed and care for over 6,900 animals that pass through the shelter's doors each year, we know that they are the real winners. Of course the pet receiving the most votes will also be a winner, as our cover pet for our 2025 calendar. So, get your friends, family, co-workers, even complete strangers to go out and vote for your pet. Who knows––your pet just might be the ultimate friend for life! While there can only be one cover pet, there will also be 13 pets of the month and 70 pets of the week.


This year, 84 photos will be featured in the MHS 2025 "Friends for Life" calendar:

The photo receiving the most votes will be the "Pet of the Year" and that photo will grace the cover of the MHS 2025 "Friends for Life" Calendar and also will be featured as the January 2025 "Pet of the Month". The photo receiving the most votes will also win a complimentary 11×14 oil Pet Portrait by Artist, Steven Davis.

We will feature 14 "Pets of the Month" (includes the "Pet of the Year" featured as January 2025, pet of the month).

• The top 13 photos receiving the most votes (1 through 13) will be featured as a "Pet of the Month" in the calendar.
• "Best In Show" competition. A panel of judges will choose one "best photo" that will be the 14th "Pet of the Month".

The next 70 top vote recipients (14 through 84) will be featured as "Pets of the Week" where we will feature five "Pets of the Week" for each month in the MHS 2025 "Friends for Life" Calendar.
