Pet's Story or Bio
We were lucky to have Roly join our family when he was 9 years old, almost 5 years ago now. He came from a neglected and abused background and a rescue agency had been alerted to his situation. When they found him he was so dirty that they didn’t realise he was Black and Tan. He was also covered in fleas and terribly skinny. To top it all off, he had been kicked, one of his back legs was dislocated, he was in tremendous pain without any medical attention for months.
He had a different name and I said one day you will be a Roly Poly and we decided that should be his name, and Roly decided he liked it too, he knew his name instantly.
The first night he stayed with us he was crying in his little bed so I slept on the floor with my arm around him so he would know he will never not be loved again. That night cemented our relationship, we are inseparable. He has such a big heart and so much love to give. He wakes every morning with the best attitude, “woo hoo, it’s a new day!” He loves getting visitors, he loves snuggles and he especially loves his big brother Schnitzel. We sing the Roly Poly song from Pillow Talk to him, he particularly loves that.
