Every Pet Has a Place- From playful puppies and curious cats to senior companions and one-of-a-kind pets, every pet has a place in our homes, in our hearts, and in the 2027 Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center Pet Calendar.
Our annual Pet Photo Calendar Contest is a celebration of the animals who bring joy to our lives and a meaningful way to support pets still waiting for their second chance. Every photo entered and every vote cast directly helps the pets at the Pet Adoption Center receive the care they need while they wait for a home of their own. Be sure to check out helpful

How to participate:
There are multiple ways to take part in the contest. Whether you want to showcase your pet, support others, or simply celebrate a meaningful moment, there is a place for you here.

Participants have the opportunity to be featured in the 2026 Pet Calendar, including the cover and monthly spreads.

You can vote for your own pet, a friend’s pet, or simply one that makes you smile. Every vote helps make a difference.
3. Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? With Reserve a Day, you can give your pet a guaranteed place in the 2026 calendar by selecting a meaningful date such as a birthday, a gotcha date, a memorial or any day you would like to honor your pet.

Participants that receive
500 or more votes will receive three copies of the 2027 calendar in the fall of 2026.
All entrants that receive at least 5 votes will be featured in the photo collage.
Prizes are not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
Notifications of Winners
The winning participants will be contacted by the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center and will receive instructions on claiming their prizes. The grand prize winner will need to meet on an arranged date and time for a mini-photo shoot in September, approx. 2-3 weeks following the end of the contest. Winner must be available to meet for photo shoot in September. Delay in photo shoot could cause a delay in calendar production. Mini photo-shoot will take place at the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center. MSRPAC staff will select photo to be used as the cover of the calendar. Digital copies of photos will be given to winner as a keepsake.
Photo and Contest Tips
- Horizontal photos are a must if you want to be considered for a month spread! Set your camera at the highest resolution and take a photo with your phone sideways to be in landscape format.
- The clearer the better! Be sure to select the clearest photo of your pet. To help you get more photos to choose from, try using the "Live" or "Bursts" photo taking options, to capture several photos at a time.
- Perfect Lighting! Lighting can truly make a difference when picture taking. If you are outdoors, try capturing photos in the shade. Indoor lighting is best when using natural light, such as near a window.
- Share with family and friends! Use the social media link within the contest to promote your pet to their fans (friends and family), and encourage them to share on their pages as well.
- Support a great cause! Remind people why you are participating and who is truly benefitting-the homeless pets! Every vote is a donation to the pets at the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center.

- Photos of dogs, cats, horses, small mammals, reptiles and birds are accepted
- Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center or live in the Inland Empire to be eligible to enter the contest
- Photos may contain more than one pet
- Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) and be in landscape (horizontal) format to be considered for a month spread in the calendar
- Photos that do not meet the eligibility requirements (ex. horizontal format, resolution, etc.) by the end of the contest will automatically be disqualified regardless of the number of votes.
- Photos must only contain domestic pets (no people or wildlife)
- Photos must be full-color; no heavily filtered, edited or altered photos
- Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar
- Photos deemed offensive, indecent or obscene will be removed from the contest
- Photos must receive at least 5 votes to be included in 2027 calendar
- All online photo entries must be submitted by midnight (11:59:59 PM Pacific Time) on Friday, September 25, 2026
- All mail-in/hand-delivered photo entries must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. PDT September 2, 2026.
- All photos submitted become the property of Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center
