Contest Rules:
Submit your pet's photo for FREE and vote until Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 7 PM. Votes are $1 and you must purchase a minimum of 5 votes at a time.
Photos may contain more than one pet, but no humans please!
Contest opportunity is exclusive to house pets only (dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc.).
Entries must be submitted by the owner of the pet, or with permission of the owner. If the photo was taken by someone other than the owner, permission must be granted from the person who owns the photo. It is the responsibility of the person submitting the photo to make sure that permissions are in place.
To enter the contest, you must register using your personal email address and a password of your choice.
Each $1 donation counts as a vote for that photo and donations are non-refundable.
This year we will once again have a vote bank! You will not have to use your credit card each time you vote. Remember that you can use the votes in your bank to vote – any votes left in the bank will go to the shelter.
MC/VISA/Discover are accepted via a secure server. If you would rather pay by check, please earmark the check for the MWHS 2023 Calendar Contest and contact the contest administrator at thembalzarini@comcast.net for mailing instructions, or to make an appointment to drop it off at the shelter. Checks must be received on, or prior to, Thursday, September 22, 2022.
All entries are subject to review, editing, and removal by the MetroWest Humane Society.
The 12 most popular pet photos will each be featured as a "Pet of the Month", and the photo with the most votes will win the cover.
The pet that wins the MWHS Pet Calendar Contest cannot win the first place prize two years in a row, although they are eligible to win second through twelfth place. If this occurs, the cover and first choice of calendar month will be awarded to the second place winner. First place winners will be eligible to win the cover again after two years.
To ensure that we are able to use your photo for publication, please make sure that you submit a digital photo only with a file size of 2 MB or higher. (Regular photos developed from film and scanned generally will not result in a high enough quality to print and include in the calendar).
File sizes are automatically reduced when submitted to the live voting site. At the end of the contest, the original photos of the winning entries must be submitted to thembalzarini@comcast.net within 7 days of the contest’s end for them to be able to be included in the calendar.
If you are one of the top 12 winners, and the photo you submitted is of poor quality (it will not reproduce well in the calendar) and cannot be sufficiently improved for publication, we will alert you and give you an opportunity to send in a replacement photo of the same pet(s).
When registering/buying votes you agree to receive emails from the MetroWest Humane Society for contest publicity purposes.
The MetroWest Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
