Grand Prizes:

The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entrants that get the most votes.
The top 12 vote-getters will have their pet professionally photographed by Three Dog’s Photography for the 2026 calendar.

First Place:

The participant with the most votes will win the coveted cover photo for the 2026 calendar and a feature month.

Second Place (11 winners)

The following 11 place winners will have their pet featured as a pet of the month inside the calendar.

Winners can request which month they would like, in order of the most votes received to the least. NCPAS will do our best to honor these requests, but may need to make executive decisions about placement.

All winners will have the opportunity to purchase products and digital images following their mini session. ***If your pet is one of the 12 to be photographed for the calendar, you must be able to bring your pet to the specified location as decided by the photographer between September 16th and September 23rd, 2025, for a professional photo session. If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to the pre-selected location, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote getter will take your pet's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet

Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

About Us

North Country Pet Adoption Services is a volunteer-run, foster-based animal rescue headquartered in Glenfield, NY. We focus on saving dogs most at risk—those facing euthanasia in southern shelters, dogs struggling mentally from prolonged kennel stays, and those who are ill, injured, or seniors in need of extra care.

In addition to our dog rescue efforts, we help local cats and kittens find loving homes and actively participate in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs to reduce the stray cat population humanely.

Rules

How to submit Photographs

Submissions will be accepted online from noon (12:00 PM Eastern Time) on Friday, August 15, 2025, until 8:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, September 14, 2025. The public can vote on photos during the submission period and/or until 8:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, September 14, 2025 for $1 per vote.
The minimum donation for submitting a photo to be voted on in the NCPAS 2025 Calendar contest is $10 per photo submitted. You may submit as many photos as you like.
Online entries only.

All photos become the property of North Country Pet Adoption Services.

Eligible Photographs

Your dog or cat does not have to be a rescue or from North Country Pet Adoption Services.
Acceptable photo formats are: .jpg and .png
Photos may have multiple pets
Photos must contain only pets (no humans)
Any image that includes people in the photo, or content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent or obscene, as determined by the Director of NCPAS will be removed from the Photo Contest.

Vote For Your Favorites

Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery at gogophotocontest.com/ncpas, and be open to voting until 8:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Votes are $1.00 each. You can vote as many times as you'd like.
All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed online.
To vote online, click on the Participate tab above. The online voting period will end at 8:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
All votes are donations to NCPAS and are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law.
Voters are prompted to make a donation at the time of voting. Entries will receive one vote for every $2 donated during the voting process.
After you submit your entry, you have the opportunity to ask your friends and family members to donate-to-vote by sending them the URL for your entry or using the "Tell-A-Friend" form when you log in to your account on the Contest website. Keep in mind that you cannot combine votes from separate photos/entries.
Voters do not have to use all votes at the time of donation. Upon donation, voters will be given the option of applying all of the votes to one image or storing the votes in an account. If voters choose to store votes, they can be accessed and voted with a User ID and password at any time during the contest-voting period.
