Your Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Roux from NCPA in September of 2021 at the Jamesville Beach Canine Carnival. They told us that he was recently rescued from a "kill shelter" in Tennessee. Roux was very timid at first, especially around new people---he would always run into the other room and hide. But he really warmed up after finding a friendly, caring home. Consistent affection, a regular schedule and lots of walks have helped him feel safe and secure. Now Roux comes up to strangers and greets them at parties! He's a very sweet and gentle soul.

We have a funny, short video from the day we adopted Roux. My husband is a professional musician, and we wanted to make sure Roux would be okay with listening to music. So Allan brought his clarinet to the carnival and played Rhapsody in Blue. Roux's ears perked up, and he definitely passed the clarinet test!
