Your Pet's Story or Bio
I am a cat person. I was accompanying my mom to local shelters while she was looking for an adult dog to adopt. Bonnibel (Bonnie) was alone in a kennel, silently and timidly wagging her little tail, while other dogs barked all around us. The shelter worker told us that she had been found abandoned, after residents of the home moved out. She had gotten the call from someone nearby, reporting that they heard a dog barking in a vacant home. The shelter worker went looking for her three times before they found her. They didn't know how long she had been there or how old she was, but she had been at the shelter for a month at that point. My 10yo daughter and I couldn't resist asking to see her and hold her. And just like that, I'm a dog person, and we are a dog family.
